The course will pass on basic tools for the development of choreography using the movement model of Rudolf v. Laban. The theory will be applied in practical exercises and a Solo project. We will begin each time with a short Warm-up Training, that is based on the techniques of Graham and Release. The course is a module of dance.motion, within the framework of the training program to become a Community-Dance-Worker. Speaker: Astrid Künzler-Büchter received training at Laban Center London with a Professional Diploma in Community Dance, and at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (Zürich School of Art) with a Master in Dance Pedagogy for Modern and Contemporary Dance. She has worked since 1998 as a professional Dancer, Dance Pedagogue and Choreographer and teaches various groups in and out of Switzerland. Her heart beats for the life in Christ that is expressed through the arts in the form of dance, and one of her desires is the reconciliation of art and the church. |
