Description The arts hold a prophetic place in education, evangelism and ministry, both to the Body of Christ and as a witness and voice to the world-at-large. They have the ability to influence the art world in righteousness and beauty, and as such, need to be restored to their rightful place within a Christian university structure, and, within the context of the contemporary art realm. Fine Arts Foundations I is a vehicle whereby God-given talents can be trained, developed and used to build the Kingdom of God. While there is a strong thrust on developing technical skills, a major part of the course is its emphasis on an identity based in Christ and a Biblical foundation in the arts. As a result, the artist should be equipped to share his faith and be a model of Christ-centered expression. The course serves as a springboard for further advanced study.
