Worship

Our vision is to multiply worship to God among the nations. The more we know God, the more our hearts respond to Him with worship.

Expressions of our worship to God are as diverse as the cultures and clans He created to give Him praise.  (Isa. 43:21)

The College of Arts and Sports includes worship ministries because of the multifaceted means with which we creatively express our love and worship for our Creator.   Worship courses and ministries are also included in the College of Christian Ministries because worship is an essential Christian discipline in the life of every disciple.  Each course is cross-listed in both colleges.

The worship courses and seminars that the UofN offers will give you the biblical foundations to equip you to multiply and release worship to God throughout the earth.Grounding our hearts and lives in worship to God will influence every area of society and equip us to serve and lead our people and our nations.  When God is worshipped by people of every culture, He will draw the nations to Himself.

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count,

from every nation, tribe, people and language,

standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.

They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

And they cried out in a loud voice:

"Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders

and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne

and worshiped God, saying:

"Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"

(Rev 7:9-12  NIV)

For me the SOW was an open door to a dimension I never saw before. It opened my eyes to see a reality that I wasn't aware of before. The SOW is a place where new songs flow from worshipping hearts, a place where fresh anointing is released and where new visions are born. It gave me a renewed perspective of how worship can become a lifestyle of joy and victory as a Christian.

I was invited to lead worship in a youth camp and I went there not knowing what to expect. There were around 80 young people from different towns and churches; some of them were non-christians. On the first evening I was shocked to hear one of them cursing and I didn't have the strength or courage to go and confront that boy. I feared that the camp would end in disaster.

During the evening worship time I decided to use some old Romanian songs even though I knew they were not very popular anymore, especially for youth. I love translated songs and I also use them as a worship leader but I also think they will never express my Romanian heart in worship to the One who created me as Romanian. So, I gave it a try and, for the first time in that camp I saw people in tears and ready to give their hearts to the Lord right then and there. At that moment I felt like a channel with the power of God flowing through me.

I was so touched next morning when the boy that shocked me on the first evening came to me and said: "thank you for the music last night, it went directly to my soul". It was a privilege for me to be there, and on the last night I heard his testimony at the camp fire.  He said, " I am not good with words but I during this camp I gave my life to Jesus and I know that God used the magic of music to speak to me. It was the first time in my life I could hear Him talking to me". Now it was my turn to have my eyes in tears.  I looked up to the starry sky and thanked The Artist for giving me the opportunity to be part of this camp, and I thought I heard the angels rejoicing and giving praise to God.

Will you join us?  We will have another SOW here in Tirgu Mures, Romania in Spring 2010 so contact us if you are interested.
